What is database management system.

What is a database? A database is a large structured set of persistent data. So a phone book is a database. But within the world of IT a database usually is associated with software

A simple database might be a single file containing many records, each of which contains the same set of fields where each field is a certain data type and length.

In short, a database is an organized store of data where in the data is accessible by named data elements. A Database Management System (DBMS) is a software package designed to create, store, and manage databases.

The DBMS software enables end users or application programmers to share data. It provides a systematic method of creating, updating, retrieving and storing information in a database.

In other hand, database management system (DBMS) also is a computer application program designed for the efficient and effective storage, access and update of large volumes of information.

Database is convenience to people who want to find any data or documents in computer, but the people who don’t know the basic of database he/she cannot use this program, so if wanted to find any data without wasting time, the company must find the people who was have the knowledge of IT that will find the data in short time.
